Conference

The Kingship of Christ & The Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary

This year marks the centenary of Pope Pius XI's great encyclical, Quas Primas, on the Kingship of Christ . To celebrate we are hosting a day conference, with great speakers, on Saturday 8th February 2025, in Galway City,  with an evening dance and live band.

The kingship of Christ is one of the most important doctrines of the Church and yet today it is the most rejected, no doubt because this teaching requires states, families and individuals to submit themselves to the rule of Christ.  Ireland once raised up great advocates for this doctrine like Fr. Denis Fahey and Fr. Edward Cahill. It is beholden on us to follow in their footsteps and to dedicate ourselves, no matter what our state of life, to the establishment of the reign of Christ the King and the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of His Holy Mother - for the former cannot happen without the latter. We earnestly hope and pray that this conference will be one of many initiatives in Ireland in 2025 ( and throughout the world) celebrating and proclaiming this great doctrine.

Speakers:

Fr. Philomeno James Mary is a Marian Franciscan whose charism is to "Bring forth Christ through Mary". He is originally from the North East of England and devotes much of his time to preaching the gospel by means of online media. He is part of an  apostolate streaming daily masses, homilies, talks, conferences and a weekly show called "Tea with Mary". Fr. Philomeno's talk will focus on the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
